Knit the Audrey sweater in “Hot
Knits” by Melissa Leapman in YOUR gauge!
Ever been frustrated because you are
not getting the pattern gauge with the needles and the yarn YOU want
to use to make that sweater? Learn how to convert the pattern gauge
to YOUR gauge and make any sweater you want with the yarn of your
choice!
Skill

one of the yarn choices below until you are happy with the fabric
coming off your needles. Bring the swatch to class that most pleases
you.

Pi…
a
circular shawl
Linda Johnson
|
Elizabeth Zimmerman
published the basic pattern for this shawl in the early ‘70’s and it
has recently resurfaced in a big way. We’ll use her basic pattern
and look at many ways to make it your own. A simple Pi
pattern makes a great travel project.
In this class you
will learn Emily Ocher’s circular cast on, lace knitting, reading
charts, planning your shawl, knitting in the round, different yarns,
a knitted cast off/edging and we’ll join Elizabeth Zimmerman as she
teaches us her pattern and shares her opinions.
Materials:
appx 200 yds sock weight yarn, US 7-10 double pointed and circular
needles, crochet hook corresponding to your needles, knitting
notions. A copy of My Favorite Pi shawl pattern will be given
to each student. We’ll knit a sampler size in class..
